MS Ed, MHC-Intern

Hello, everyone!

I am a graduate student at the University at Buffalo, working towards obtaining my mental health counseling license. In addition, I obtained a Masters in Education in School Counseling from Hunter College, and am a permanently certified school counselor. I currently work as a full-time high school counselor in South Brooklyn. Previously, I worked as an elementary and middle school counselor at a charter school in the Bronx and as a Registered Behavior Technician, assisting young students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

I extend a warm welcome to individuals of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ages. As a compassionate listener, I provide a safe and non-judgmental space for you to discuss what's happening in your life.

My primary therapeutic approaches include Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Our sessions revolve around you, ensuring that you feel acknowledged and understood. Together, we will delve into the root of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, exploring their interconnectedness and developing strategies to overcome your challenges.

I offer Christian counseling for those interested, to support your beliefs, concerns and struggles. Being a 2nd generation Korean-American, I can also conduct sessions in the Korean language.

My availability is as follows: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to collaborate with you to navigate the various challenges that life presents, both big and small.
