Hi, I’m Marissa! I am a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern who believes that understanding why we think, feel, and respond the way we do can be a powerful first step toward change. My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative, with a special interest in working with individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, trauma, emotional dysregulation, and relationship challenges.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with strengths-based and solution-focused approaches, to help clients understand the connection between their past experiences and present patterns, recognize their strengths, and develop practical tools for meaningful change.
Most importantly, I want my clients to feel truly heard and understood—not judged or defined by their struggles. For clients who desire it, I also offer Christian counseling and welcome the integration of faith into the therapeutic process.
